How to Connect WPForms and Sendinblue in WordPress

So in this blog post I will be showing you how to connect WPForms and Sendinblue in WordPress.

You may be wondering what Sendinblue is all about. Well worry not, I got you!

Sendinblue is basically a SaaS solution for relationship marketing created by Armand Thiberge and Kapil Sharma.

Founded in 2007, the cloud-based digital marketing service now has a community of over 80,000 users in more than 160 countries and sends over 100 million emails each day.

Sendinblue offers a cloud-based marketing communication software suite with email marketing, transactional email, marketing automation, customer-relationship management, landing pages, Facebook ads, retargeting ads, SMS marketing, and more.

  •         CRM – Customer database information.

How to Connect WPForms and Sendinblue in WordPress

WPForms is an awesome contact form builder that works well with Sendinblue.

However, for this to work you must have the WPForms plugin already installed on your website.

It is also important to note that for you to be able to use the Sendinblue addon with WPForms, you must have a plus or higher plan of the WPForms plugin.

Once you are done installing and activating the WPForms plugin, you can then also install and activate the Sendibule addon as well.

Using WPForms and Sendinblue will make your email marketing work much easier as it will allow you to easily manage your lists.

 

Connecting Your Sendinblue Account to WPForms

Step 1: To connect your Sendinblue Account to WPForms simply go to WPForms >> Settings and then tap on the Integrations tab

Step 2: Now click on the Sendinblue option. This will expand all the available options.

You can go ahead and click on the Add New Account button and then enter your account information.

You will then be provided with two fields where you will be required to add your Sendinblue API key and the account nickname.

It is important that you add the accurate API key into the required field. Simply copy and paste the API key as provided without any alterations.

You can find your API key by logging into your Sendinblue account and then head over to the main menu.

Once you are on the main menu, simply click on the SMTP & API

You can then view and copy your API key as it is.

We shall require the API key in the next steps to connect WPForms and Sendinblue.

Once you have copied your API key, head back to the WPForms settings and paste your API key into the field titled “Sendinblue API”.

Once you have pasted your API key go ahead and add a nickname of your choice to your Sendinblue Account.

The nickname will only be used internally and therefore won’t be shown to anyone else.

Having a nickname will come in handy once you decide to connect more Sendinblue accounts in the future.

Now that you have set up everything, it’s time to connect your Sendinblue account to WPForms.

So to connect your WPForms and Sendinblue addon, simply click on the Connect to Sendinblue button.

Taa Daa…You just connected WPForms and Sendinblue.

It’s actually that easy. Pat yourself on the back for coming this far!

WPForms will now connect your Sendinblue account and you can start enjoying all its features.

Once your Sendinblue account is successfully connected, you should see a green “Connected” status just next to your Sendinblue Integration.

Now that we have successfully connected WPForms and the Sendinblue addon, it’s time to add the Sendinblue integration to our forms.

Let’s dive right in now.

How to Add A Sendinblue Integration to Your Forms

In order to add the Sendinblue integration to a form, you need to first create a new form or edit an existing form.

To do this within the form builder, simply head over to Marketing >> Sendinblue

Then click on the Add New Connection button in the Sendinblue tab

You will then be provided with a field to add a nickname for the connection.

Remember that the nickname will only be used for internal purposes only and therefore won’t be visible to anyone else.

You will also be provided with the option to select an existing Sendinblue account from the Select Account dropdown menu so you can add it to the connection.

This allows you to use an existing account nickname for your connection as opposed to creating a new nickname for your connection.

For illustration purposes, I will use the “Subscribe” account to add subscribers to our Sendinblue contacts.

As you continue configuring your form, additional settings will populate for you to configure.

You can then configure your form to your preference with custom fields.

Some of the available options include;

  •         Email:* This is the WPForms field that will contain the subscribers email address.
  •         New Email: This is the WPForms field that will contain the new email address of the subscriber. This field will only be necessary when updating existing contacts in Sendinblue.
  •         List:* This is the Sendinblue list that you would like the subscribers to be added to once they sign up.

The fields marked with an asterisk are required fields that your subscribers will have to fill.

You will also have the option to map any custom fields you have added to your Sendinblue account under the Custom Field Name section.

Don’t forget to save your form after configuring all your settings.
